Welcome to The Gay Podcast for Everyone!

I'm so glad you're here, checking out the website and listening to the podcast!

I started this podcast because after I came out to my parents, I realized that they were at the beginning own journey. They were now parents of an LGBTQ+ child*, and we were on a new path together.

But the same way I needed time to understand who I was, they also needed time to understand. Being in the closet afforded me time to understand who I was and accept myself fully. I was in a place of deep acceptance. And while they were supportive of me and showed unconditional love, they still had questions, concerns and fears.

I started to understand that coming out to them wasn't just giving them my truth. It was asking them to come along this journey with me.

So, I started this podcast as a space where LGBTQ+ folx, our families, friends, and allies could talk about it. I also wanted to remind parents and families that when your child comes out, you don't have to immediately be the parent on the float of a pride parade to show your support (although it's awesome if you do!) All you have to do is sit in unconditional love.

It's sounds so simple, but there are many parents and families who choose rejection rather than support.

My goal with this podcast is to highlight the parents, allies, and LGBTQ+ community who are making an impact. In each episode, you'll hear real stories from folx who are somewhere along their journey.
